Morphett Vale Railway Incorporated

MVRail is a miniature passenger carrying railway located at Wilfred Taylor Reserve, Wheatsheaf Road, Morphett Vale (Adelaide/Australia) and is a 7¼” gauge non profit club that provides train rides to the public on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month (excluding December 24th).

Opening time is 1pm to 4.30 pm, and a daily ticket is available from $6 per person, which provides unlimited rides for the day. Children under 2 can ride for free, providing they are accompanied by an adult.

The railway has approximately 2km of track and an average ride takes around 15 minutes through the natural bush-land Wilfred Taylor Reserve, at Wheatsheaf Road Morphett Vale. Follow the signs from the Main South road along Wheatsheaf Road to the railway.The club runs large scale locomotives including diesel and steam. The steam locomotives do not run on Fire ban days. All riding carriages are of gondola design for safety, and covered foot-wear is required.
